1) Take the dedicated tourist shuttle to the scenic area—a one-way ticket is recommended, as a round trip leaves too little time. 2) After getting off at the terminus, do not buy tickets at that booth. Instead, walk back to the main road and continue about 500 m in the direction the bus came from to reach the mangrove reserve's buildings and signs. A well-built boardwalk leads into the mangroves here, free of charge. 3) To tour the mangroves you must take a boat, but prices and trip durations vary widely—walk around the pier, ask several operators, and compare before choosing; don't let anyone rush you aboard. For groups, the 130-yuan six-person boat is a good deal.
