About Western Xia Mausoleum (Imperial Tombs)

The imperial tombs of the Western Xia (Tangut) dynasty, set against the Helan Mountains near Yinchuan. Dozens of earthen burial mounds stand on a vast plain, with an on-site museum explaining the dynasty's history.

Travel Tips

Due to ongoing repairs on part of the Yinchuan South Ring Expressway, traffic is heavy and congested at times. Drivers visiting the Western Xia Mausoleum are advised to head west along Beijing Road to National Highway 110, then go south directly to the scenic area.
