About Temple of Earth (Ditan Park)

Ditan Park preserves the Ming-era Altar of Earth, where emperors once offered sacrifices for the harvest, in central Beijing. Ancient cypresses shade the grounds, which fill with a lively temple fair at Chinese New Year.
