About Nanxiang (Ancient Town)

A historic water town in Jiading and the reputed birthplace of xiaolongbao, Shanghai's famous soup dumplings. Canal-side old streets, the Ming-dynasty Guyi Garden, and twin pagodas draw food lovers and photographers alike.
