1) From June 10 to Sept 20, 2019, Gaokao examinees entered free with their exam admission ticket and ID. 2) Souvenir shops and taxi drivers in the area may overcharge—be alert. 3) During the Torch Festival, bullfighting is dangerous; keep your distance. 4) Cheap one-day Stone Forest tours booked in Kunming may include forced shopping stops or price hikes after boarding—choose carefully. 5) Sunlight is strong—bring sunscreen and sunglasses, and drink plenty of water.
