Travel tips: 1) Touring Puzhehei involves boat rides and 'water battles'—the elderly and children should stay away from group boats. 2) If you plan to join the water fight, prepare in advance: put on a life jacket first, then seal or store water-sensitive items (phones, cameras) in plastic bags, and ready your 'weapons' and dry clothes. 3) Puzhehei is a photographer's paradise with stone hills, streams, lakes, villages, boats, fields, lotus, water plants, and wild ducks—a full day yields sunrise, sunset, and local-life shots. 4) Food and lodging are available at small farmhouses in Puzhehei Village—clean but very basic; at dawn you can hear roosters and dogs.
