About Daming Palace National Heritage Park

The Daming Palace in Xi'an was the imperial palace complex of the Tang dynasty and part of the Silk Roads UNESCO World Heritage route. Today its site is an open heritage park with reconstructed halls, rammed-earth walls and museum exhibits.

Highlights

Tang dynasty imperial palace ruins (Palace of the Great Brightness), once the grandest palace complex; Hanyuan Hall site, Danfeng Gate and an archaeological museum with an IMAX film.

Suggested Route

Enter at Danfeng Gate, see the Hanyuan Hall ruins and archaeological museum, then walk the central axis; allow 2-3 hours.
