About Red Beach National Scenic Corridor

Red Beach in Panjin turns a brilliant crimson each autumn as the salt-tolerant Suaeda salsa plants blanket the Liaohe River delta wetlands. Boardwalks carry visitors over the red "carpet" to look out across reed marshes and tidal channels alive with birds.

Highlights

A vast coastal wetland carpeted red by seepweed (Suaeda); highlights include the crimson tidal flats, the reed marshes, and the birdlife (red-crowned cranes). Best in autumn.

Suggested Route

Drive/walk the corridor boardwalk through the red tide flats and reed areas; allow 2-3 hours.
