About Huangguoshu Waterfall Tourism Area

Huangguoshu is one of China's largest and most famous waterfalls, thundering over the Baishui River in Guizhou. A natural cave lies hidden behind the curtain of water, and rainbows shimmer in the spray above the lush green gorge.

Highlights

Asia's largest waterfall (77.8m high); the water-curtain cave behind it; the nearby Doupotang and Tianxingqiao karst scenery.

Suggested Route

Visit the main waterfall (walk behind via the water-curtain cave), then Tianxingqiao and Doupotang; allow a full day.

Guanling dog-meat and sour fish; stay in Huangguoshu tourist town or Anshun.

Advance online reservation required ('no reservation, no entry') via WeChat/Alipay mini-program 'Anlutong'; book 1-15 days ahead; Water Curtain Cave separate reservation.
