About Jiaxing South Lake (Nanhu) Tourism Area

South Lake in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, is a scenic lake ringed by temples, gardens, and small islands. It is historically significant as the place where the first National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party concluded aboard a red boat in 1921.

Suggested Route

Half-day essence: Huijingyuan pier → boat to the lake-heart island (Red Boat plus Yanyu Tower, about 2h) → Revolutionary Memorial (about 1.5h); a full day adds Yuehe historic street and Haogu Pagoda.
