About China Elk Garden (Dafeng Elk National Nature Reserve)

A coastal wetland reserve in Jiangsu where the milu, or Père David's deer, roams in semi-wild herds. Native only to China and once extinct in the wild, the species has been restored here in the Dafeng reserve.

Highlights

Museum - sightseeing cart into viewing zone - deer tower - wetland maze boat; half-day to full day, best in morning for active elk.
