About Mount Hua (Huashan)

The westernmost of China's Five Great Mountains, Mount Hua is famed for its sheer precipices, the thrilling Plank Walk in the Sky and five peaks linked by cliff-side paths and cable cars.

Suggested Route

Take the West Peak cable car up (or hike from Yuquan Temple), visit West to South (highest) to East Peak, then descend by cable; full climb one day, cable-car trip 4-6 hours.

Try Huashan mushrooms and mountain herbs; stay at the foot (Huashan Town) or summit guesthouses for sunrise.

HSR to Huashan North Station (Huashan North Station) ~30 min from Xi'an, free shuttle bus 1/2 to Visitor Center; ~120 km east of Xi'an Xianyang Airport.
