About Mount Qingyuan Tourism Area

Mount Qingyuan, on the edge of Quanzhou, is a Taoist sacred mountain crowned by the towering stone Laozi statue, carved centuries ago. Pine-shaded trails lead to temples, springs and views over the ancient port city.

The giant Song-dynasty Laozi stone statue ('the Taoist sage'); Buddhist/Muslim cliff inscriptions; the Jiuse rock and springs.

Suggested Route

Enter at the west gate, see the Laozi statue and cliff inscriptions, climb to the summit for the city view; allow half a day.
