Sanfang Qixiang, 'Three Lanes and Seven Alleys', is Fuzhou's best-preserved Ming-Qing historic quarter, a web of alleys lined with traditional courtyard houses. The birthplace of figures like Lin Zexu and Yan Fu, it is a living window into old Fujian life.
