About Mount Sanqing Tourism Area

A UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Taoism's most sacred mountains, Mount Sanqing presents granite forest peaks shrouded in cloud, framed by ancient Taoist temples. Its three main summits are said to embody the Three Pure Ones of Daoist belief.

Granite peaks shaped like figures (the 'Oriental Goddess', 'Python out of the Mountain'); high plank roads and sea of clouds; the Sanqing temples.

Suggested Route

Take the eastern (Jinsha) cable car up, walk the Sunshine Coast and West Coast plank-road loop; allow a full day.

Try Sanqing mountain fungi and Shangrao dishes; stay at the foot (Jinsha) or on the summit.
