About Mount Wuyi (Wuyishan) Tourism Area

Mount Wuyi, a dual UNESCO World Heritage Site in Fujian, blends dramatic Danxia peaks with the meandering Nine-Bend River, best explored by bamboo raft. It is also a cradle of Chinese tea culture, famed for rock oolong such as Dahongpao.

The Nine-bend (Jiuqu) River bamboo raft; the Tianyou Peak; the Dahongpao mother tea bushes; rock-tea terraces and cliff temples.

Suggested Route

Take the Jiuqu River bamboo raft, then climb Tianyou Peak and visit the Dahongpao tea garden; allow 1-2 days.

Try Wuyi rock tea and local stream fish; stay in the Wuyi Resort town (Sangu).
