About Yanmen Pass

Yanmen Pass is one of China's most strategically important mountain passes on the Great Wall, known as the "First Pass of the World." With a military history spanning over 3,000 years, the pass features ancient fortifications, beacon towers, and the Yanmen Pass Museum documenting countless battles fought at this chokepoint.
