About Basum Tso (Basongcuo) Lake Tourism Area

Basum Tso is a sacred turquoise alpine lake in Tibet, dotted with an island temple reachable by boat and ringed by forested peaks. The surrounding highland scenery is among Nyingchi's most beautiful.

Take the shuttle to the lake, walk the boardwalk, boat to the island temple, viewpoint at Darcha-la; allow half a day.
