About Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area

Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for its cascading travertine terraces, mineral pools, and limestone formations stretching 3.6km along a mountain valley. At 3,500+ meters elevation, its turquoise pools, snow-capped peaks, and ancient Buddhist temples create one of China's most surreal landscapes.

Take the cable car up then walk down the boardwalk past the Five-Color Pools and floss; allow half a day.
