About Three Gorges Grand Waterfalls Tourism Area

Tucked in the hills near the Three Gorges of the Yangtze, this scenic area is dominated by a thunderous waterfall that plunges into a misty pool. Wooden walkways carry visitors close beneath its spray, framed by green cliffs.

Highlights

A 102 m-high 'Top Ten' Chinese waterfall you can walk behind through a water curtain; the Baiguo Tree Canyon with 30+ falls.

Suggested Route

Take the shuttle, walk the gorge past smaller falls to the main waterfall (wear a raincoat to cross behind it); allow 3-4 hours.

Try Yichang fatty fish and farm dishes; stay in Yichang city or the Yiling district.
