Boating through the Lesser Three Gorges on the Daning River reveals narrow gorges, sheer limestone cliffs and emerald water. This scenic tributary of the Yangtze offers a quieter, wilder counterpoint to the famous Three Gorges, with dramatic rock formations and mountain trails.

Highlights

The Lesser Three Gorges (Longmen, Bawu, Dicui) on the Daning River and the Lesser Lesser Gorges on the Madu River - clear gorges, cliffs and macaques.

Suggested Route

Boat cruise upstream from Wushan (~4 hours round trip); optional small boat into the Lesser Lesser Gorges.
